In 2019, we established an interesting cooperation with the then emerging company SpaceForest. Based on their internal design, we made - in accordance with our specialty - the truss of the Perun rocket launcher. Made to "space" standards, the truss was created from a special grade of hardened AW6082 aluminum and extra-thick tubes for high stiffness at the crucial moment of highest load at launch. A manufacturing curiosity was the very high standards of dimensional precision imposed by the SopaceForest design team. Welding practice nevertheless shows that the thicker the materials, welded with multiple stitches, the greater the chances of thermal distortion. It took 2 weeks and many trials on test versions of this truss to master the process to the point where we began to fall within acceptable tolerances. It was a difficult task, but one that brought some new experience to AluPro. We did our job well - because today, after 6 years, the platform is still being used for Peruna launches and we haven't heard of any significant failures.
If you have an atypical project that in any way touches on the subject of trusses - you are welcome - both with finished projects and for technical consultation. I think that in the narrow specialization of truss systems we are, thanks to practical experience and academic-engineering knowledge, the leading center in Poland.
