A telecommunications mast, like any truss, has nodal points that are its strongest places. It is worth putting all your strength into this around the nodes, as this minimizes the risk of damage to the whole. This is important at installation of additional guy ropes, fastening of ropes when erecting the mast using the rotary technique, or even when selecting anchoring points for antenna booms. The nodal point is the place on the curb (outer, main pipe) where the horizontal and transverse grating tubes meet.
