EQM series rope equalizer (anchor attachment to mast guy wires)

A cable equalizer is a fastener designed for telecommunications towers. It connects all ground guy anchors (Mantaray system, GA-1 AluPro ground anchors, and similar) supported by rods or cables to a series of mast guy wires leading back to the anchors. Equalizers distribute the load symmetrically along the anchor rod, preventing forces that would attempt to bend the rod. Their second function is to balance the forces between the mast guy wires in a situation if these cables were tensioned differently or were to stretch to varying degrees during the mast’s use (due to differences in cable length, strand configuration, or material properties). An additional advantage is that they ensure ample installation space between successive guy lines (ease of tightening rope clamps, space for convenient tension adjustment via turnbuckles). A final benefit of using equalizers is the elegant appearance of the installation and the ease of tidying up excess rope without creating a cluttered look. The EQM series consists of 4 products; the number in the product code indicates the number of guy lines that a given equalizer can accommodate. Equalizers for tall masts (e.g., for 10 levels of guy wires) are available upon request.
