TOA500-25 aluminum truss lightning protection tower

A 25-meter-tall aluminum lightning rod protects above-ground structures with an increased susceptibility to lightning strikes, including high-voltage substations, transformer substations, above-ground transmission stations, military facilities, measurement facilities (e.g., weather stations), and railway facilities. The tower weighs only 221 kg. Low foundation reactions, thanks to the high convergence of the truss structure, allow for the use of lightweight foundations—including, for example, ground screws. The electrical charge is conducted to the ground via a 1.5-meter-high lightning rod and through the tower structure (a steel flat bar ring, reinforced with GALMAR rods if necessary).
