The balcony serves as the end element of external ladders. It allows you to safely lower the ladder and get to the roof. The gangway allows you to go directly to the roof surface without having to step on the sheet metal flashing of the firewall/knee wall (the sheet metal can be slippery and is also susceptible to dents)

The SYDRA500 gable balcony significantly improves ergonomics and safety when working on the roof—it eliminates the need to dangerously climb over the flashing.
